Prof. Youssef Ziedan, professor of Islamic philosophy and history of science, is the present Director of the MsC. He is a well-known scholar in the world of Arabic heritage. He has forty-seven published books (Ms catalogs, critical studies, specialized researches) in different fields of heritage and has, so far, cataloged eleven manuscript libraries all over Egypt (18,000 manuscripts), in addition to his remarkable contributions to heritage technology, and his engagement in public cultural life.
