The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has taken a great
interest in the assorted fields of Arabic heritage especially the ones
related to the history of science, being one of its main thematic
focuses. Thus, the treatise of the savant Ibn al-Haytham entitled
al-Athar al-Zāhir alā Wajh al-Qamar- ‘The Trace on the Moon’s Face’ was
chosen to initiate the series of the multi-lingual publications. The work
in hand does not only introduce an authenticated text of heritage, but
also presents authorized multi- lingual translations of it.
