The paper discusses three works:
a) Dirar b. ´Amr (second century Hijra): K. at-Tahrish,
b) Abu ´Ali al-Jubba’i (died 303/915): K. al-Maqalat,
c) Ruknaddin at-Turaythithi: K. Mutashabihat al-Qur’an.
The first two works were known to have existed and have been found now in a
Yamani manuscript; the problem is whether the texts having been identified
as such are authentic. The author of the third work was hitherto completely
unknown; the problem is his datation and origin. |
