This is the first annual conference organized by the Manuscript Center. This year's conference sessions will focus on the theme: Millenary Manuscripts 

The conference proceedings will take place at the BACC, from 26 - 28 September 2004 according to the program set by the conference organizers. An elite of the world's leading Arabic heritage scholars and manuscript specialists have confirmed their participation in this event (See list of participants) 

Conference papers are expected to cover a substantial part of the millenary manuscript collections the world over. Dr Youssef Ziedan has thus written, especially for this occasion, an introductory book lying in three chapters: Chapter I: The Concept of Millenary Manuscripts; Chapter II: Millenary Manuscripts All Over the World; Chapter III: Millenary Manuscripts in Alexandria. The book is also appendixed with a number of photographs representing samples of millenary manuscripts from different parts of the world.
