How to Define Your Life Style
A lifestyle is the combination of a person’s attitudes, interests, and behaviours. Alfred Adler first introduced the term in his 1929 book The Case of Miss R. He described lifestyle as the basic character that a person develops in early childhood. A lifestyle is a complex combination of beliefs, attitudes, values, and behaviors that determine a person’s general characteristics. However, it does not necessarily affect one’s personality. Here are some tips to define your own personal style.
Firstly, you need to know that lifestyle has a great impact on our mental and physical health. It also has a direct impact on our genetics and may even lead to some forms of cancer. So, if you want to avoid genetic diseases, you must change your lifestyle. Currently, Iran is among the countries that use medication in the most common ways. People here use medications much more than they do in other countries. In fact, 15 to 40 percent of Iranians use medications without a prescription, making it necessary to find out why.
Generally, lifestyles tend to be associated with the way people spend their time and money. Moreover, a lifestyle is an expression of an individual’s preferences regarding consumption. These factors have a large impact on health. According to WHO, lifestyle contributes to 60 percent of the risk of death and disability. A lifestyle that is unhealthy for a person’s health can also lead to obesity, violence, and many other issues. It should be avoided at all costs!
In order to understand lifestyles, we need to know what drives them. While there are several theories about the definition of a lifestyle, most of them focus on attitudes, opinions, and activities. The AIO approach considers these factors as the core components of lifestyle. It is possible to study these factors from a diachronic and synchronic perspective. The AIO method takes into account socio-cultural trends that shape a society.
The concepts of lifestyles are often associated with a particular group or culture. This is reflected in the way people dress, eat, and behave. Some of these differences may be reflected in a person’s social circle, while others may be based on a person’s family. There is no universal lifestyle, but there are many types of individuals and cultures. Fortunately, there are some people who have developed a life style that suits their personality.
Among the theories defining lifestyle are Adler’s characterization of the environment in which a person lives. Similarly, a person’s lifestyle may differ in a rural area compared to an urban area. The type of neighborhood and the proximity to natural environments and the sea can influence a person’s lifestyle. Apart from these, a person’s social group is often a sign of a positive or negative outlook.
